COSP software
The COSP satellite simulators have been implemented in five ESM's. Cloudsat radar reflectivities, CALIPSO lidar scattering ratio's and ISCCP cloud top pressure and optical thickness histograms are among the simulated outputs. The five ESM's with the responsible institutes are:
- ECHAM-5, Max Planck Institute, Hamburg
- EC-EARTH, KNMI, De Bilt
- IPSL, CNRS, Paris
- HadGEM-2, MetOffice, Exeter
- Arpege, MF-CNRM, Toulouse
