After being postponed in April because the eruption of the vulcano Eyjafjallajökull that had a big impact on flight traffice from, to and within Europe, the kick-off meeting took place Monday 27th - Tuesday 28th of September 2010 at the Pietershof in Utrecht, Netherlands. The Pietershof is located in the city-centre of Utrecht.

Directly following up to this kick-off meeting a EUCLIPSE WG3/GCSS-BLCWG on the Scu-Cu transition cases and CGILS was held on 29 and 30 september 2010 at KNMI in De Bilt, Netherlands. Information about the program and the presentations of the EUCLIPSE GCSS-BLCWG meeting can be found here.

The purpose of the meeting is largely the same as originally planned: To meet all the EUCLIPSE participants, teambuilding and providing an overview of the project-activities. As we are already moving ahead with WP1 and WP3 the meeting will also be used to have some progress reports on WP1 (satellite simulators and the CMIP5 runs). In addition, as mentioned above, an additional EUCLIPSE-WP3/GCSS-BLCWG meeting on 29 and 30 September will be held on the progress of the Scu-Cu transition cases and CGILS.
